    Tyler Walker's helmet

    anybody have a pic of that old school helmet he was wearing?? I know i saw it somewhere!

    Great Pix,  John.  Had a Jetsons look-alike but lost it when they stole my Vespa !   Just kidding,  love the shot.

    Thanks, it was a cool helmet.  It reminded me of my dad's boat racing helmet.  Later in talking with them I found out that is exactly were it came from.  Boat Racing back in the 60s.

    Wow, that really takes me back a few years, like to the early sixties or so.  What was the special occasion for Walker?  Just nostalgia/
    The "One and only, NWFAN".

    Looks like the bubble shields used by supermodified/hardtop drivers from the 60s and 70s. I remember they wore them at tracks like the old paved San Jose Speedway.

    They also wore leather masks.

    He just did it for wheel packing to keep his other helmet clean
